Dear Parents,
It came to my attention that newsletters did not reach home until earlier this week, due to printing difficulties. I can only apologise on the school’s behalf.
We’ve had a busy week so far on health and safety, with inputs on bullying, handwashing and also healthy eating from our Expo Chef. We hope you enjoy trying out the recipes which the children were given. I know I will—they looked both healthy and delicious!
God bless, Mrs Johnson

Dear Parents,
I hope you find the school approach tidier and safer since half term. You will have noticed that the old rusty lamp standards have been removed, and replaced by new lampposts along the opposite side, where they illuminate the path better. We also had the redundant smaller posts removed, making it all neater.
The nursery approach has also been improved, with the small patch of rough ground being transformed into Mary, Mary quite contrary’s garden!
In addition, the inner quad has been resurfaced, providing much safer paths, and easy ramps to all doors.
Enjoying our smarter new look was overshadowed by the break-ins last week, alas!
God bless, Mrs Johnson

Dear Parents,
We have had a sad start to this half term, with two break-ins. There has been quite an amount of damage and four projectors have been either stolen or damaged, and other items stolen.
We are putting further security measures in place, and are in the process of replacing our projectors with orange (education only) projectors which require a code in order to work. They would be useless to anyone who did not have the code. Sadly, the money we are having to spend will mean we will have to review planned investment in resources for our children…
Thanks to all who attended Parents Evening. I hope you found it useful.
God bless, Mrs Johnson

Dear Parents,
Goodness – how time flies. One half term gone already! There will be the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress thus far at our Parents’ Evening on Wednesday 4th November. Hopefully, all of you that intend coming have requested an appointment by now. (Yesterday was the closing date.) We discovered that Y5/6W did not get letters for some reason so pupils from that class have a request letter tonight. Please let us know on Monday 2nd so that appointments can be allocated.
God bless, Mrs Johnson

Dear Parents,
Thanks to all those children, parents, staff and governors who attended the cathedral for the education mass. Our children represented the school beautifully. It was a real treat to be there. Mass was lovely, the music gorgeous, and the children’s posters representing our priests brought real smiles to the faces of the Bishop and priests!
Thanks also go to the staff who attended Carlton, including those who went across on Saturday evening. It was a tiring but very worthwhile experience by all accounts.
God bless, Mrs Johnson
